Sometime ago, one of our fans in Tucson mailed a CD to their friend in Bothel, WA. This friend, a local Bothel guitar teacher, liked what he heard. He drinks coffee at a place called the Lyons Den. Last week, while getting coffee at that establishment, he noticed a flyer that said Ryanhood was coming. Tonight came, and he was there, with his son, and he even made a request for Separate. And this is awesome. So Good job! to our Tucson friend for passing along our CD, and Good job! to Cascadia College for making flyers, and Good job! Lyons Den for putting them up! Its amazing when this whole machine actually works. Please feel free to try this at home! Speaking of home, we've been gone for a little while. 11 days to be exact. (Somehow I didn't get the memo and I packed only 3 days worth of...

Tucson natives Cameron Hood and Ryan Green constitute Ryanhood, a duo that has garnered a faithful following across the country largely via college and university gigs. Read MoreWe've got an intense little breadbasket of shows directly ahead of us. We'll be playing 5 shows in 3 days (including a Studio C performance at what I would call Tucson's best radio station, 92.9 The Mountain. Is flattery still flattery if it's true?). So since we'll be mighty busy, I thought I'd follow up where the Maestro left off in giving you the heads up on some of our favorite records. These are albums that I feel are solid from top to bottom, open to close, and since I have nowhere near the discipline to limit myself to a top five, I've listed 33 of my favorites. ANY one of these will be a tasty treat if you decide to purchase. Alright, I'm out. Wish us luck. Look out for a favorite songs list in the future. And turn the music up loud. the beach boys - pet sounds the beatles...

Read MoreThe Beatles sang it. Even WE sang it. New Year’s Eve, in New York, three songs after “Auld Lang Syne.” And it’s a great song, a beautiful song. But as our dear friend and Ryanhood Army Captain Phil said, “It’s a dangerous song.” But I’m starting at the end. Jump back with me to the beginning. First, ve had a vunderful Christmas in our homeland of Arizona, where we packed out Club Congress (again!)…Wait, hold on, a second set of parentheses will be needed… (see, in truth it was our Ryanhood Army who packed out Congress for us, sold tickets, put up and passed out flyers, got our picture in both local papers, and got our show talked about on 92.9, The Mountain, the hottest, and most musical radio station in Tucson…a million thanks Army! You are growing into such a strong and vibrant young Army…your parents are so proud of...
